Clothes Make The (Wo)Man

You guys, we have our family pictures coming up. No, not taken by me and a tripod--by a real photographer! She's awesome and I'm really excited.

Downside....um, the outfits. I'm all about family pictures that don't match but go together. What should we do? I need something fantastic where I don't have to suck my stomach in the entire time.

Internet, what do you suggest? Do my dirty work for me.

Update: Since we are on the very important topic of clothes, do you think it's insane to buy these for Kate's Halloween bee costume? Tell me that it is and I'll believe you.

Where are you doing your pictures? I'm not very helpful. I have the hardest time with my own. But you know sometimes the best ones are the ones unplanned. Just do be like my sister-in-law she goes way over board on the whole matching thing, when it's our extended family. Anyway goodluck! you will look awesome no matter what.

We recently had family pictures taken and all just wore various solid colors. I wore black, Anton blue, Alex white, Ella green. Something like that. So we "matched" without being matching. It worked and we picked them out 5 minutes before we walked out the door. Nothing like planning ahead!

You MUST get those bumblebee shoes for Kate's costume - and see if they come in a size 9 for ME!

You have the art of photoshop, right? :) Yea on the shoes if she is going to be a bug. Nay, if she is going to be anything else.

She is going to be a bee! So that settles--she MUST have them, right? The internet is in agreement.

Now dammit women, find me some photo clothes.

I think this look for your photo would be AWESOME:

Or even this one:

P.S. If she'll wear the bee shoes past Halloween, they're a must.

Brandi, you are HILARIOUS! I totally choked on my drink on those. Everyone--check them out! I'm thinking I'm going to dress everyone up like the second one. Nice!

What do you think? Girls or boys in the second one? I really can't tell.

Yes you should definitely get the shoes! And now I may make Madeleine a bee costume for next year...Or maybe I'll say its for a "school play" and let her wear it all year... Those shoes are too cute!

Well, I don't care if she doesn't wear them one day after Halloween, but she IS going to wear them with her Halloween costume.

(And no, they come in adult size 9 - dammit!)

So make sure you take LOTS and LOTS of photos of her FEET.

Rounding me off to the most spoiled human being ever, my mom ordered the shoes for Kate. I guess that means Kate is the most spoiled human being ever (but we all already knew that)

Thanks mom!

Oh my goodness! I want to be a bee for Halloween too! And I found a really cute bee vest at Target that is puffy and striped and has a hood with antenae but I didn't buy it and now I can't find it and the only adult bee outfits are either yucky or, how to put this nicely, not appropriate...

I think you should by the adorable bee shoes for Kate. She will be the cutest bee in the world! And take lots of pictures and put them on your blog! :o)
